Jacob Dorfman is Co-Founder and Principal of Dorfman Yarger Partners, where he leads deal origination, underwriting, and investment strategy. He oversees the firm’s investment process end-to-end — from sponsor evaluation and market analysis through financial modeling, negotiation, and closing. Prior to founding DYP, Jacob served as Vice President of Investments at Township Capital, where he underwrote and closed institutional Co-GP equity investments across the United States. Earlier in his career, he was a Mixed-Use Development Associate at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and an Associate in the Private Bank at J.P. Morgan, advising high-net-worth clients on investment strategies. Mr. Dorfman holds a B.A. in International Political Economy from Pitzer College of the Claremont Colleges.
Jack Yarger is Co-Founder and Principal of Dorfman Yarger Partners, where he leads sponsor partnerships, investor relations, and firm operations. Prior to founding DYP, Jack spent six years as Vice President of Investments at Township Capital, where he underwrote 156+ transactions totaling over $6.5 billion, closed 20+ Co-GP investments, managed a portfolio in excess of $2.4B, and developed 10+ programmatic Co-GP relationships across multifamily, student housing, industrial, and senior living assets. Previously, he was a Real Estate Associate at PeerStreet, where he originated $180M+ in debt. Mr. Yarger holds a B.S. in Economics from Michigan State University and is a licensed California Real Estate professional.
Max Zeff is a Partner at Dorfman Yarger Partners, specializing in ground-up development, joint venture structuring, and risk-adjusted investment execution. He is also the Founder of Kalonymus, a multi-platform real estate investment firm focused on building long-term value through disciplined, strategy-driven investing. Prior to founding Kalonymus, Max spent seven years at Carmel Partners, where he led sourcing, acquisitions, entitlements, and development across Southern California, including driving the firm’s reentry into the San Diego market and generating over $300 million in investments. Mr. Zeff holds a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
